The rent for 1 month is $700.00 including all utilities (water,electricity,internet,cable, parking,gas). You can move in the apt in the same day when you receive the keys.I must inform you that the keys from my apartment are with me but I have found a way for us to complete the deal safely and fast, and in this way you will receive the Keys in less than 2 days, if you move fast as well. The solution is provided by a company called TNT which is similar to Fedex, DHL or UPS, which will handle the delivery of the Keys.All you have to pay first is only the shipping taxes of delivery of the keys ( $150 ) and you will receive the Keys and the contract signed by me right away.After you will check the apt and if you like it you will sign the contract and pay the rent.

Thank you so much for this info everyone!!! I happen to live in the same complex in Mtn. View that is listed in one of these scams. The unit listed is unoccupied and was on the market for a while. The mail box is even marked as unoccupied, so I bet that is why the address is being used by this ridiculous scam. I’m going to let my HOA know about this right away so the real owners know what their property is being used for!

Here’s the email response I received this morning from Ben Poker. Ben seems to be slipping a bit. While he provided the address of the house he owns, he did not specify the unit number. With a little research, I was able to determine that the property is actually a large apartment complex with about 200 apartments – all of which are owned by a corporation, and not by any of the individual tenants. The ad appeared this morning on Craigslist, but was removed within an hour of when I first saw it.

I have recently received three attempts at contact from “Lisa Lilienthal”, from some of the above scams, through the networking site Reunion.com.
I only briefly joined Reunion.com, but felt I didn’t need their services, and now feel vindicated that I left them, if this kind of scam-artist (“Lisa L.”) is permitted to reach out to their member-clients.
Still, it’s interesting to observe how enterprising these criminals are, and how imaginative is their use of good technology for bad purposes. I thought I’d send you all the warning here.

Well my guess is that she has kept all her addresses from all her endeavors and then uploaded the list to reunion.com, as I have been receiving the same requests. The link is legitimate in the email, so my guess is she is trying to build and solidify her scam network, maybe get a referral bonus as well as keep tabs on people for future scams.

Pastor Lisa Lilienthal is at it again with another scam…I almost fell for it but thanks to this wesite I did not. The ad was on Craigs list recently for Los Angeles and the address was for a 1 bedroom Apartment in 4225 Ethel Avenue Studio City, CA 91604. The letter is the same as before…thank the Lord..la la la.

My dad, rather excitedly thought he’d found a great place to rent in San Jose California.
‘Found the guy on Craigslist offering to rent a 3 BR property for $1395, and it was none other than Robert Kinoshita. His reply email reads “ritchiedon@rocketmail.com” – which was my first tip off, but the mention of Nigeria convinced me it was a scam!
Doing some Googling revealed this blog / scam so thanks for that. I cringe at the thought of my dad (or anyone) being duped by such an unscrupulous character.
Can paste the advert/mail it to you for the record if you like…but it reads pretty similar to all ones above from good old Robert.

I am so glad that i found this website. I have cancer and have been looking to adopt a puppy.My therapy dog recently passed away. I found a website called freepuppylistings.com I read about a free Pomeranian and decided to inquire about the dog. I meet the infamous Robert Kinoshita. His email was so sincer i thought that i could trust him. However, just to be safe i thought i would do a search on puppy scams. I am so thankful for this website. The money would be replaceable but the pain of not recieving the puppy would be to much to bare right now. My response to this email will most likely not get a response.See response below and always proceed with caution when dealing with people on craigslist or any other classifieds. May you all stay safe from these idiots. Thank You to all who posted and helped me confirm my suspicions.
I have a friend who is going to drive by the house. I am unable to do so because we are currently still in Texas. My husband does not check into his command until after the 1st of the year. We are planning to arrive in CA at the end of Nov beginning of Dec. Do you have any pictures of the inside of the home that you could email me. With the amount of spam that happens on the internet now I am not sure about providing an current address. Once it has been determined that this is a legit opportunity I will provide this information. I am a full time student and my husband is in the military. We have three kids and his sister who is unable to reside without full time assistance. I talked with my friend and she stated that it does happen in CA that people are sent over sea’s to work. Unfortunately I do not have a phone that will allow international calls so I am unable to contact you. I am an honest person but studying in the field of Criminal Justice has made me realize that not ever person is honest. The disadvantage here is what makes this a hard transaction. Do you have someone in San Diego that we could contact to verify that this is a true deal and possibly allow a friend of mine to veiw the inside of the home? I know that this is a hassle but please understand my position, I cannot move into a home that I have not been able to see or have someone look at on my behalf.

I’m so glad I found out this was a scam before I pursued to rent the property. Here’s the email to me:

The utility bills are paid directly from my bank account. The price will not increase monthly; it will remain the same for the whole period that the contact will be signed for. We can start with a basic 1 year contract with the possibility of renewing it or with the period of time suitable for you.About the payment, I would like to receive it monthly into my bank account and I hope there will be no problem for you to wire the money to it. I have $45,000 cash in hand ready to purchase a manufactured home in Thurm’s Mobile Home Park in Calverton, NY. The park is touted as a 55 and over retirement park, yet applications must be sent to First Advantage Safe-Rent for approval.
To make a long story short, I was denied for no reason because First Advantage never contacted any of my references, yet had the nerve to deny my application because I am receiving social security benefits, which they claim is not an income. Apparently a retired person needs to get a job before applying to these “retirement” communities. A search on my credit reports shows that I have a credit score of 650. The lot rent at Thurm’s is $200 less than what I pay at my current mobile home park. It would actually be cheaper for me to live there.
My realtor and the park manager (Patty) are standing behind me on this. They tell me that nobody has ever been denied an application to Thurm’s. First Advatange blames Morgan Management (the park’s owner) and Morgan Management blames First Advantage for this determination, so this tells me that neither side wants to take responsibility; an admission of guilt. An internet search shows numerous lawsuits from scams and ibel that were generated by First Advantage SafeRent. Who are they to judge anyone?
Pre-recorded phone announcement (888) 333-2413 instructs one to download dispute forms online at http://www.residentscreen.com, which is not a working website — another scam. In the meantime, I may lose out on the home of my dreams.

Thank you for your response but I am looking for a 2 B/R mobile home here in New York. The problem is that many of our local mobile home parks have been bought by some corporation which apparently plans to “flip” or use the properties as tax write-offs. Tenant screening is for APARTMENTS, not for mobile gomes.

You people are not reading my post! The scam concerns First Advantage Safe-Rent, a tenent screening service. Again, this service is for renting an apartment, NOT for buying the house which I already have in mind, with cash on hand to buy it WITHOUT finacing. I do not want to live anywhere but at Thurm’s 55 and Over park in Calverton, NY.

First Advantage Safe-Rent has suddenly changed their name to ConeLogic, and I found out why I was denied. They are also a financing company. Since I was buying the house CASH and not applying for a mortgage, they would not have made any money with me so they turned me down. This should be illegal!

America’s biggest problems center on housing, unemployment and unuinsured motorists. A big part of this problem is caused by the big three credit reporting agencies and the screening companies. If all these “services” were to go out of business tomorrow, people could have homes, jobs and more motorists would be insured. Our national economy would skyrocket in just one week!

One of our mobile home parks has just closed down due to “tenant screening”. The applications cost $250, which make a lot of money for ConeLogic Screening and is most likely their primary source of income. However, ALL applicants are being denied whether they qualify or not. In short, those who are trying to sell their mobile homes cannot do so, yet must continue paying lot rent as long as they own the home. This has led to the park’s bancruptcy. It’s a shame to see a park that’s been here for 50 years close up because of this scam.

I agree. I just lost my job as a mobile home park manager because Morgan Management bought the park and is planning to build a Wal-Mart on the site. We were told that tenant screening would be a big advantage to us, but it only blew up in our faces. Do we really need this?

So then my reply to their message was: If you name is Wilkerson Patricia, why does your email address says you are Andrea Styron?????? Nice try!
